MillTech Recruitment is working on behalf of an established UK transport planning consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Consultant to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport planner to take ownership of varied development projects, strengthen client relationships and progress their career within a collaborative consultancy.

The opportunity

You'll join an established, multidisciplinary transport planning practice working across a diverse range of development and infrastructure projects. The role offers the chance to take greater ownership of project delivery while broadening your experience across technical consultancy, client advisory work and project management.

You'll be involved from the early stages of development, helping shape site promotion, masterplanning and sustainable transport strategies through to the preparation and delivery of technical planning documents. Working closely with clients, local authorities and colleagues, you'll help develop practical solutions to complex transport challenges.

Alongside your technical responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to build trusted client relationships, oversee project programmes and budgets, and contribute to proposals and new business opportunities. You'll also support junior colleagues, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop their skills.

What we're looking for

• Experience in development-related transport planning.
• Knowledge of UK planning policy and transport guidance.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and related technical reports.
• Strong project management and client relationship skills.

Salary and benefits

• £40,000 - £53,000 base
