MillTech Recruitment is working with a growing transport planning consultancy looking to strengthen its Midlands team with the appointment of a Transport Planning Consultant.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious transport planning professional to work on a varied portfolio of projects, develop client relationships and play an active role in the growth of a regional office.

The Role

You’ll be involved in delivering transport planning projects from initial assessment through to completion, working closely with colleagues and clients to develop practical, effective solutions.

Key responsibilities include

• Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Using industry-standard software, including ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.
• Undertaking site visits and supporting the delivery of transport planning projects.
• Working alongside Team Leaders to ensure high-quality technical outputs.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry contacts.
• Contributing to the development of the Midlands office and helping to grow its client base.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated transport planning professional who combines strong technical skills with commercial awareness and a proactive approach to building relationships.

You’ll ideally have

• A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three years’ experience in a transport planning consultancy or similar environment.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Proficiency in ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.
• A sound understanding of UK transport planning standards and guidance.
• Strong communication, networking and client relationship skills.
• The ambition to contribute to team development and support the continued growth of the business.
